DAY 1 - LONDON to BANGKOK
Fly British Airways from Heathrow to Bangkok, arriving the following day for three nights in a Superior river wing room at
The Mandarin Oriental .

DAY 5 - BANGKOK to EASTERN & ORIENTAL EXPRESS
Transfer to Hualampong station to board the elegant Eastern & Oriental Express train early this evening. Sip a drink in the Observation car as the train leaves the city and heads out into open country. Later, settle into your cabin before enjoying dinner on board while the train travels past water buffalo and through rice fields and small villages. Return to your cabin at your convenience, which will have been transformed into a bedroom by stewards.

DAY 6 - EASTERN & ORIENTAL EXPRESS
Awake early to experience the train make its way from Wong Po along a wooden trestle viaduct beside a towering cliff. Arrive at the River Kwai Bridge station and take a cruise along the river while learning about the history of this famous railway and bridge. Drive past the North Temple and Chinese Cemetery en route to the Thailand-Burma Railway Centre, where a historian will be on hand to answer any questions. A visit to the Don Rak War Cemetery is optional (time permitting). Take a coach the short distance to Kanchanaburi before returning to the train. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon, savour dinner and perhaps some music by the resident pianist in the bar before retiring for the night.

DAY 7 EASTERN & ORIENTAL EXPRESS to SINGAPORE
After breakfast arrive at Butterworth and embark on a short coach journey and local ferry ride to the colonial city of Georgetown, the capital of Penang. Enjoy a guided excursion of pre World War II mosques, temples and churches, and explore the colourful bazaars. Passengers travelling on the Bangkok to Penang route remain in Penang, those travelling to Singapore continue south.

DAY 8 - SINGAPORE
This morning cross the straits of Johor and arrive in Singapore. After breakfast, alight the train and transfer to a Courtyard room at Raffles for two nights.

DAY 10 - SINGAPORE to LONDON
Fly British Airways from Singapore to Heathrow or extend to enjoy three nights in Bintan.

DAY 10 -SINGAPORE to BINTAN
Transfer to the port for a ferry ride to Banyan Tree Bintan staying in a Valley villa for three nights of relaxation. Overlooking the South China Sea, this tranquil beach resort perfectly complements stays in the vibrant cities of Bangkok and Singapore.

DAY 13 - BINTAN to LONDON
Return by ferry to Singapore for your British Airways flight to London Heathrow, arriving the next day.
