Directly beside Malindi sands, approx. five minutes drive from Malindi town centre, ten minutes from Malindi airport and 2½ hours from Mombasa airport.

Facilities

Capturing the mixture of African cultures in its architecture, décor and facilities, the main building at Diamonds Malindi Beach houses a bar, restaurant and intimate lounge. Two small swimming pools overlook the beach for blissful relaxation, and windsurfing, catamarans, canoeing, snorkelling and diving are available at extra cost.

There are just 23 beautifully simple and traditionally furnished rooms, each with airconditioning, television, telephone, minibar, shower and a terrace or balcony.

Deluxe garden rooms are as above.
Deluxe seaview rooms are at the front of the hotel and have balcony facing the swimming pool and Indian Ocean.

Beach description

White sand. At Malindi and Watamu hotels, the prevailing winds from May to early September bring seaweed from the reef on to the beach.

Malindi was founded as a town in the early thirteenth century and features an eclectic mix of Swahili, Arab and European styles. A buzzing market district allows for some great shopping whilst the Malindi National Marine Park is also well worth a visit.
