From Aswan, hop into a light aircraft and enjoy a 30-minute flight south to Abu Simbel, an archaeological site on the banks of Lake Nasser. An early morning departure from your ship or hotel in Aswan, through the spectacular desert scenery to Lake Nasser. The guided tour of Abu Simbel is for about two hours. Return to Aswan early afternoon (approx. 285km). This trip always departs in a convoy, this convoy departs twice a day: 1st convoy departs at 0400hrs and arrives at Abu Simbel at approx. 0730hrs and then departs Abu Simbel at 0930hrs and arrives Aswan at 1300hrs, the 2nd convoy departs at 1100hrs and arrived into Abu Simbel at approx. 1430hrs then departs Abu Simbel at 1600hrs and arrives Aswan at 1900hrs.
